To get the most out of the POD you will need to understand a little about some of the features that are available. One important lesson to be learnt in Rock n' Roll is that there are no rules, and the same applies to the POD. When the settings were being written, unusual amp and cab combinations were often used to recreate the most authentic tone possible.

The version 2.0 POD sofware enables any combination of amp and cab. It also enables advanced effects editing, including reverb type, room size, different delays times, and different modulation effect parameters. These parameters can be accessed easily with the PC / Mac software that accompanies the POD on CD Rom. Don't worry if you don't have a computer, these settings can also be accessed on the POD itself.

One of the POD's key functions that will be used to get the most out of is the Tap (Hold) button on the front of the POD. This button allows you to delve into the second layer of POD features. Using this button in conjunction with other controls on the POD will allow you to select a further sixteen amp models, cab selection, drive for extra crunch, delay repeats, delay level, presence, reverb decay, or reverb size and effects speed for modulation.
